Like many who find their way to yoga, I found yoga while looking for a form of fitness I enjoyed. My background in dance made many of the yoga shapes feel familiar in my body. As my practice became more consistent, I noticed both physical and mental benefits and I was “sold!”
In 2017, I completed my 200RYT training. I began teaching yoga and added yoga to my preschool movement classes. After stumbling onto a free mindfulness certification and learning about its vast benefits, I also began adding mindfulness practices into all my classes.
When COVID shut the world down and I could not teach, I decided to delve more into the study of yoga. In the Fall of 2022, I completed a 2-year Master of Science program in Yoga Therapy. I am so excited to share all yoga has to offer!
My special interests and areas of additional study include trauma informed practices, mental health, stress, anxiety, nervous system education, postural education, breath work, mindfulness, laughter, and the benefits of play. I love working with children of all ages (yep, adults that’s you too ☺).
I can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
