She/Her | RYT-200

Heidi started and stopped her yoga journey several times over before finally settling into a regular practice after having her son. Heidi found a sense of balance and self that was missing in her rushed days between work and home. Ever a student, Heidi became increasingly interested in the history and philosophy of yoga — the practice off the mat — and found her guide in Kate. Heidi completed her 200 hour training under Kate’s tutelage in August 2020. While she originally had no intention of teaching, the universe had other plans, and Heidi had a newfound desire to share the practice with others. She began teaching Hatha classes in November 2020, wishing to hold the space for all, but especially those who think “yoga’s not for me” — or who are intimidated to walk into the studio the first time — as they find their own practice at their own pace. In her classes, you can expect a solid Hatha foundation, with a little flow, and a long savasana or guided relaxation and meditation to tie it all together. Heidi lives in Ashburn with her husband and son.
