With a focus on emotional balance and stress relief, this interactive workshop will explore the energetic side of yoga. Topics will include an overview of the 7 main chakras (energy centers), basic functions of the autonomic nervous system, and aspects of polyvagal theory. We will practice several pranayama techniques (breathing practices) designed to calm, stimulate, and balance our energy. To deepen the experience, we will also explore visualization through guided meditation and vibrational energy through simple chanting. 

This workshop is appropriate for all students, regardless of prior experience. As always, your level of participation is voluntary. You are welcome to observe and practice to your comfort level. Questions and discussion are encouraged, and you are welcome to take notes. 

Please note that you may want to dress in layers or bring a light sweater to be comfortable in resting meditations. Yoga mats and props are available at the studio or you are welcome to bring your own.
